Why do we have political parties?

Are you like me? Do you hate the political rhetoric? Republicans label Democrats as liberal and fascist. Democrats call Republicans too conservative and evil. I am sick and tired of it. Here's what I think we should do. Get rid of all party names. Everyone who wants to run for President can, with no party affiliation mentioned. Just tell me what you are going to do to make my world a better place. Period. Don't tell me how you voted for such and such bill, and your opponent voted against it. I can find that information on my own. Tell me how you are goingt o lower gas prices. Tell me how you are going to create more jobs. Tell me how you are goingt o defend our country. But don't tell me that Republicans are evil, or Democrats are destroying America with their liberal agenda. ENOUGH! Fix my country. Just do it.
